Wartburg Lutheran Services established its Mobile
Meals program in 1977. Today, Wartburg Lutheran Mobile Meals brings
delicious, nutritious meals to more than 450 homebound seniors on
a daily basis – an important part of Wartburg’s Life
Enhancing Communities philosophy of care. We are funded by
the New York City Department For The Aging and city meals-on-wheels
program. This comprehensive home delivered meals program offers
a variety of nutrition-related services designed to improve quality
of life for seniors and help them stay connected to their communities.

Fully Bilingual Service (English / Spanish)
Who we serve.
Wartburg Mobile Meals delivers hot, nutritionally
balanced lunches to seniors who:
are 60 years of age or older,
live alone, or with a loved one who cannot
prepare a meal for the senior,
are homebound, or deemed physically or mentally
disabled, and
receive no more than 12 hours of home attendant
service per week.
We also deliver second meals to more than 200
program participants determined to be “nutritionally-at-risk.”
