Wartburg Subsidized
Housing For Older Adults and People With Disabilities
Wartburg Lutheran Services sponsors and manages four federally
subsidized apartment complexes for low, very low and extremely
low income people. While three of our facilities are restricted
to older adults aged 62 or older, our complex in Kings Park also
provides a limited number of units for people with disabilities
as well.
Entry into these facilities is governed by the regulations of
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. All
four developments have active waiting lists. At this time,
federal regulations preclude us from sending formal applications. However,
requests are accepted for placement on our mailing lists to be
notified about future availability of applications.
The senior housing at our Good Samaritan campus in Delmar was
funded through a grant from New York State to serve people aged
60 and older. As in our other subsidized facilities, there
are some income restrictions and there is a waiting list.
